Using other equipment
Before connection
• Disconnect the AC mains lead.
• Turn off all equipment and read the appropriate operating instructions.
• The equipment connections described are examples only.
You can playback the sound from a video cassette recorder, tape deck,
laser disc player, etc., through this unit’s speakers.
• Peripheral cables and equipment are sold separately unless other-
wise indicated.
• To change the input level (⇒ page 35)
The product numbers are correct as of February 2005.
Use outdoor antennas if radio reception is poor.
• Disconnect the FM indoor antenna.
• The antenna should be installed by a competent technician.
Rework your outdoor antenna’s 75 Ω coaxial cable as follows.
• Run a piece of vinyl wire horizontally across a window or other
convenient location.
• Leave the loop antenna connected.
Note
Disconnect the outdoor antenna when the unit is not in use. Do not use
the outdoor antenna during a lightning storm.
