Remote Reception/Setting TAM from Remote Station
If you have an extension telephone connected to the same line, when a fax call is received via extension
telephone, the documents can still be received if you follow the steps below.
If you forget to set your apparatus to activate TAM, you can set it remotely. (See note 4) You must preset
"REMOTE PASSWORD" (in TAM SETTING), "IN/OUT RMT SET" to "ON", (in TAM SETTING) and "RCV
MODE (OUT)" to FAX/TAM (in BASIC SETTING) in advance.

Remote Reception

Answer a call on an extension telephone. If you hear beep
"Pi...Pi...", or the other party wishes to send you a fax,

within 30 seconds after lifting up the handset.

Replace the handset. Fax reception starts.
Setting TAM from Remote Station
When "MANUAL RCV" at "RCV MODE (IN)" is set,

Call your apparatus from a remote location.

Your apparatus will answer after 15 rings.

and after you hear a long beep, dial the
Remote Password and [#] button within 10
seconds. (You must use Tone dialling.)
Ex:

Replace the handset.
When "FAX/TEL" at "RCV MODE (IN)" is set,

Call your apparatus from a remote location.

Your apparatus answers.
During the greeting message,

and after you hear a long beep, dial the
Remote Password and [#] button within 10
seconds. (You must use Tone dialling.)
Ex:

Replace the handset.
1. Remote reception is not possible when a call is currently made from your apparatus.
2. When system setting [REMOTE RCV] is set to "OFF", remote reception is not possible.
3. Remote reception may not be possible when dialling tones are heard at that instant the buttons
are pressed.
4. If the memory is full, the setting of the apparatus cannot be changed. Please play back to
erase the message before doing this operation.
